New: Create and publish courses with Claude and Codex

Updated September 11, 2026: The connector now also supports courses and sections, media uploads, course settings and publishing a whole course with selected content.

Add a lesson, make an explanation clearer or replace an outdated example: you can now give tasks like these directly to Claude or Codex for your courses on onlinekurshosting.de. Our native MCP connector connects your AI assistant to your academy. It can read existing course content and save your changes directly in the right place.

Describe what you want in everyday language. For example: “Create a new lesson about the Pomodoro technique with a practical exercise.” Your assistant can turn this into a text lesson within an existing course section and give you a link to review it.

What does this mean for your everyday course work?

You may already use AI for writing. With this connection, your assistant can also take the relevant course context into account and save the result in your academy. That saves you from moving text back and forth between a chat and the course editor.

The connector supports you from the first draft through to publication:

• Create courses and sections: build your course structure as a draft and adjust titles, descriptions, the course image and access settings.
• Create new text lessons: ask for a draft lesson with headings, examples, source links and practical exercises.
• Revise existing content: shorten introductions, add examples or adapt explanations to your audience. Targeted text changes preserve existing images and embeds.
• Manage media and exercises: upload images, files and videos, replace materials, edit exercises and reorder course content.
• Publish courses: have the assistant check the requirements and publish a course with explicitly selected sections and lessons. You can also return content to draft status.

Start with a new course or develop existing content further. For uploads, your assistant must be able to read and transfer the actual file data; an attachment visible in Claude Web does not guarantee that access. The media guide explains the process and its limits.

Three tasks to try

Replace the course, section and lesson names in these examples with your own. A precise request helps your assistant work on the right content.

1. Get to know the course first

Start with a request that does not change anything:

Show me my courses on onlinekurshosting.de. In the “Time management” course, read the existing sections and lessons and summarize which topics are already covered. Do not change anything yet.

This lets you check that the right academy is connected and your assistant can find the course.

2. Research a new lesson and save it as a draft

In the “Time management” course, under “Focused work”, create a text lesson about the Pomodoro technique for self-employed people. Read the existing content first. Research the topic using your available research tools, and tell me if none are available. Add an everyday example, verified source links and a practical exercise. Save the lesson as a draft and give me the editor link.

Claude or Codex carries out the research using the tools available to it. The MCP connector itself does not search the internet. Review the draft and its sources before making the lesson available to students.

3. Improve an existing lesson with a targeted change

Read the draft lesson “Pomodoro technique” in the “Time management” course. Shorten the introduction and add an example of a working day with client appointments. Keep the rest of the content. Save the change and give me the editor link.

When you are happy with the result, ask the assistant to check publication readiness. It can publish the course together with selected sections and lessons once all requirements are met. Drafts you have not selected stay unpublished. To publish a lesson on its own, its course and section must already be published.

You stay in control

New courses, sections and lessons are created as drafts. For an already published lesson, explicitly tell your assistant when you want it to edit the live content.

Version checks detect when a lesson has changed since it was last read. The assistant must then read the current version again before saving changes. Repeated save requests are protected against duplicate execution.

You can also ask to see a lesson’s MCP change history and restore an earlier version of its title, description and text as a draft. This does not reset exercises, media or learning progress.

Manage your connections under Settings → Integrations → Claude & Codex. You can revoke access there at any time. Course content your assistant reads for a task is processed by the connected AI service.

Academy settings are available too

With additional academy permissions, owners and administrators can configure the support email, legal notice, privacy information and existing Digistore24 integration. Existing course connections do not automatically receive these rights; they must be explicitly granted.

The prices displayed in your academy can be edited through MCP. The external Digistore account, actual checkout prices and connection test initiated there remain with the payment provider. The full guide explains academy permissions.

Editing and reordering preserve student progress. Deleting an exercise that students have already completed requires an explicit instruction to remove its completion records. Files shared with groups are protected against accidental changes, and removed media is retained to protect existing references.

How to connect your assistant

In your academy, open Settings → Integrations → Claude & Codex and copy the MCP URL shown there. Add it as a connection in your assistant, sign in with your academy and confirm the permissions.

The connector is included in Base and Pro. You use your own Claude or Codex account. Its costs, usage limits and options for adding connectors depend on your provider and plan.
